It is time for me to ease up with the big odds. Almeria was on a long unbeaten run at home when they hosted Sociedad some months ago in the league. The guests had at least 7 big scoring chances, and they took 2 of those right at the restart, there were 5 more big scoring chances till the end but the 3rd goal did not come back than.
Now, Almeria has 7 games in a row on the road with at least 3 goals scored. Just 1-1-5 record for them though with the win being 2-1 at a tough Getafe side, the draw was 2-2 at a decent Celta Vigo side. The losses have been 6-2 at Girona, 4-2 at Real Madrid, 2-1 at Atletico Madrid, 3-1 at Osasuna, 2-1 at Sevilla. So quite good at scoring goals on the road.
While Sociedad drew recently 2-2 at home with Girona but also won here 2-0 with Real Madrid, and last round just some days ago they won 2-1 away at Barcelona as they are close to securing a presence in the Champions League next season. Almeria is expected not to give up easy on the points as they are 4 points more than the relegation zone. So I mainly back over 2.5 goals here. Odds are fine with me, can not expect more given that Sociedad is in good shape, moves the ball around well and Almeria is poor at defending but quite good at scoring goals right now.
