The Sharks tend to score 2 to 3 goals on home ice but have been even more successful against the Predators this season. They sold a few good players with the last one being Zetterlund. I still believe that the rooster has talent but simply needs time to rebuild in the next few seasons. The Sharks routinely concede goals and goaltending rarely makes the difference in their matches. I was expecting slightly lower odds for the Over and there is value to take Over 6 or 6.5.
The Predators won three games in a row and that's something remarkable considering their season. They didn't face the toughest opponents in the league but it's good momentum. This provides an opportunity to build further rhythm against the Sharks. They met twice this season and the Preds won both fixtures. Offense managed to easily score 13 goals but at the same time, defense allowed 10. The H2H has been very juicy in goals and I can see this trend continuing.
The Sharks play open-end hockey and the Predators are rolling over them. The Over 5.5 was converted in all of their last 5 mutual matches.
