At first, I was leaning towards a draw.
But I'm going in with a feeling of a 2-1 home win for the Owls in a typical David-versus-Goliath vibe: tough, passionate, a little crazy, but ultimately realistic. Derby has been scoring more consistently lately and is clearly ahead of Sheffield Wednesday in the table. Presumably, the bookies' assessment of an away win is therefore more plausible. But I'm not so convinced. They can dominate games and find space, but they also regularly have weaknesses in defense and sometimes struggle to decide games. For Sheffield, it's ALL or nothing! Wednesday are in free fall.
No wins in recent games, form curve downwards. At the bottom of the table with massive point deductions due to administration and financial turmoil. Officially, it's a picture of chaos: point deductions, possible sale, and massive unrest behind the scenes. All of this should break a team—but sometimes it brings the players together. The mental pressure can either paralyze them... or explode when they play against a direct competitor.
I say home win!
