I`m not French but he`s right, at this late stage of the competition, you can kiss your esthetics goodbye. Sure Spain won that contest by a mile given the French looked crap up-front with Griezmann and Mpabbe really out of shape and that ugly system with 3 DM but the French have won the solidity contest as well, they are rock solid and every Spain possession will hit a wall they never met before, Germany was not a defensive team and that`s the only serious team they faced so far, both Croatia and Italy really looked far away from what they used to be. Experience favors heavily the French, while Spain has some young lads who have not played at this level before, plus their coach also with little experience. Defense wins you tournements not the attack and Spain will have to dig deep to cover Carvajal absence, so they will probably not be so adventurous given their missings, which will probably make the game balanced and suit Spain possesssion style but they won`t create many chances, maybe Nico vs Kounde should favour the Spaniards, but do not see why Spain are slight favourites I think it`s just an overreaction to this `Spain played the better footy`, but it ain`t only about that. France will make it ugly, physicall and their experience and mental fortitutde will prevail IMO and i wish better footy will win but do not think it`s gonna happen, I do not think Spain is yet at France level regarding some things.
