ATP Australian Open [Qualifying]

Not understanding the underdog status for Vilella in this matchup, still going more covered taking a plus handicap. The only thing I can think of is that bookies are underestimating him because of playing on hard, but Vilella is not just a clay-courter as his powerful forehand and serve work well in faster conditions. He received a WO in R2, but was very strong in R1 as he beat Giannessi in 1 hour through amazing serve stats (90% first serve points won, 93% second serve points won and fired 10 aces behind 21 first serves). Wu is a decent youngster although he is in unknown form after playing little and badly in 2020 (5-8). The Taiwanese still won pretty easily in the first two rounds, but Vilella is going to be a tougher opponent and I can't see Wu as a favourite given his last months on court. Vilella is also more experienced and has a very good record when playing GS qualifying matches.
