The Bolts have been inconsistent for the past few weeks. They had a rough patch a couple of weeks but recently they've shown better performance. They have 3 Overs in a row and Vasilevski has been weaker than usual in the past few starts. This being said, it remains a potent offensive team and they have one of the best power play units in the league. I was expecting lower odds for goals but I believe that bookies are factoring that Vasilevski is starting and that the H2H is 2-3 for the Over.
The Red Wings are on fire. The new coach completely revitalized the squad and woke up players that were cold like DeBrincat or Larkin. For the past few weeks, the Red Wings have been the best power play team and Todd McLellan brought back confidence in the squad. They play with energy and pace. This is prolific for goals and since the coaching change, 90% of their games are above the line. This stat alone is a must bet. Yesterday, I went for the Over in 20 minutes, too bad, it was an Over full-time. Let's not make the same mistake.
I also see value to take the guests. They are priced as heavy underdogs but they are 8-2 right now. Yet, I'd rather lean back and enjoy the game while both teams are expected to score.
