The central point of this crazy odds play is that at the moment no one knows what DePaul is really worth while it is understood that Texas Tech is a good team but nothing more.
De Paul has a new coach who last year led Butler to the tournament. This season the improvement in De Paul's performance is clearly visible in the numbers: record 7-0, almost 90 ppg, 6 wins with less than 70 points allowed and 3rd in the league for 3pt scored per game. The problem is that the level of the opponents so far is quite modest, certainly inferior to Texas Tech.
The Red Raiders however are not a team of phenomena and have a game system quite similar to De Paul with a lot of defense and points in their hands.
Defeated by St. Joseph and with a close win vs Syracuse that seems very disappointing this year .
I prefer low stakes on ML rather than spread because it is possible that Blue Demons will be defeated by 20. In any case where such a price comes from is a mystery. No one knows how much Blue Demons are worth.
