As I said last week, Popko is not used to playing in South America and physically struggles in hot conditions. It's actually hot in Campinas, the only bad thing is that it's gonna be a rainy week in this location and there will be interruptions. It's not known whether it will rain or not at the match time, we'll see although I hope not. Youngster Tirante was last week's revelation by playing rock solid as he reached the final in Lima, he got 5 very clear wins and was also close in the final against Galan, who needed to work to win in 3 sets. He is the typical South American grinder, still very young and there are things to improve, but his forehand and determination make him very competitive at this level already. I don't usually support players coming from a long run because of fatigue concerns, but Tirante played quick matches in Lima and should still be physically fresh. As you can see he is already spotted by the market, but still takeable at even odds given this matchup.
