Match from the opening round of the Clausura 2026. The gap in quality between the two teams is substantial, and with no home-field advantage in play, the current odds are far from realistic. 

UNAN did not add any new players ahead of the new season, nor did they sell anyone, meaning they will field exactly the same squad as in the Apertura 2025. In that tournament, they managed to win only three matches, two of which came against the weakest team in the competition, Real Madriz. Their third victory was at home against Jalapa, a side that traditionally performs well on its poor natural grass pitch but struggles significantly when playing away on synthetic surfaces. UNAN are expected to be one of the two weakest teams in the tournament (the other being Rancho), with survival as their sole objective. In the previous tournament, they suffered heavy defeats in both matches against Ferretti (0:3 and 1:4), providing no reason to expect a different outcome this time. 

Ferretti parted ways with several players, none of whom were key starters. At the same time, they brought in only two new signings, both of whom are expected to further raise the team’s level, and Ferretti are once again projected to go deep into the competition—reaching at least the semifinals.
