I believe the odds are correctly set, but I actually do not trust the integrity of this game.
Truth to be told, the US have looked quite good and when it has mattered they have stepped up and been the better team. Against Turkey, they lost but it was a useless game for them so they are forgiven.
Belgium have struggled in every match so far, except New Zealand. Sure, they have found their way out of the crisis but here comes the angle I am taking:
Credible sources confirm that the White House contacted FIFA to do something about the red card of Balogun. It was rejected, but I would not be surprised if a "compensation" is coming against Belgium. After all, it is in FIFAs interest to maximise profits and that is done by making sure USA progress here. Keeping the host nation is far more important than keeping a underwhelming Belgium.
With politics already innvolved directly with FIFA, I just have to question the integrity here. I will place a small bet on USA to qualify. Somewhat of a paranoid-bet but hey, small stakes and observe what happens. A bit disgusted with even thinking in this game. We have certainly lost the sport.
