Utah has 4 losses in a row and last round even the Sharks beat them. I've said it already a few times, the team has serious injuries as both Marino and Durzi are out for a while. These are top 6 defenders and they don't have back-ups. As for goaltending, Ingram and Vejmelka are not top-quality notch and both concede above 3 goals on average. Offensively, it's a team that has talent and it's a good squad to back for goals (for & against). Plus, their recent H2H has been producing (when Utah was called Arizona Coyotes).
The Flames have 3 losses in a row and last round they are absolute trash against the Knights. They barely made 16 shots on goal. The Knights were very aggressive with their forecheck and dominated mid-ice. But still, the Flames were lazy and flat. It's almost impossible for an NHL team to be twice in a row so bad. I would think that they will have a much better game tonight and Utah is too open from the blue line. Plus, this is a divisional match and important for the play-offs spots. Maybe they tanked the match with the Knights.
The Flames have a slight edge in goaltending with Vladar and Wolf. Utah is playing a very open sort of hockey and they understand that defensively they suck so they have to score goals. I hope the Flames will show a strong face tonight after the mediocre match against the Knights. Perhaps the Over 6,5 is the true value bet but I will take the safer option.
