Iran will visit the Milliy Stadium in Tashkent on Tuesday to face Uzbekistan in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, looking to build on their strong victory on the opening day.
Team Melli defeated Hong Kong, was 4-0 on Thursday, an impressive start to their campaign.
Striker Sardar Azmoun scored twice in the first 15 minutes, while Mehdi Taremi and Ramin Rezaeian added two more goals late in the match.
Both teams are doing well in the qualifying rounds, so it promises to be an interesting clash.
Perhaps today is the last chance for one of them to try to fight for promotion.
Uzbekistan also started their Group E campaign with a victory. The White Wolves defeated Turkmenistan, was 3-1 on Thursday. Meylis Durdyyev put the Greens ahead in the 44th minute, but Uzbekistan made up for the loss after the break thanks to a goal by Otabek Shukurov and Eldor Shomurodov in stoppage time.
Both teams prefer offensive football, which is visible in their results and statistics in matches they play. I think it won't be a boring match and at least 2 goals should be seen here.
