Vitesse lost last Saturday with 2-0 against AZ Alkmaar and are still number 17 in Eredivisie. With 17 points after 27 games are they 5 points behind number 16 Excelsior Rotterdam. Vitesse didn’t win in their last 4 games (0-1-3) and it will difficult to not relegate in the Eredivisie. So they need a win here against Sparta Rotterdam. Vitesse is missing Propper, Fofana, Meerdink and Jonathans by injuries. Meulensteen is back after an injury.

Sparta won finally a game in the Eredivisie after 4 games without a win. They won easy with 4-0 against Fortuna Sittard at home so they are now number 9 in Eredivisie with 34 points. They are still 2 points behind number 8 FC Utrecht so they can reach the Play-offs. Sparta is doing it well in away games this season; they won 5 games, 2 games ended in a draw and they won 6 games. But in the competition they lost their last 3 games; Feyenoord (2-0), NEC (2-0) and FC Twente (2-1).

For this game Vitesse need a win to probably stay in the Eredivisie. They won this season just 1 home game so it will be difficult for them. Also Sparta isn’t doing it very well in away games and lost their last 3 games, but for them less pressure for a win than Vitesse in the competition. Sparta has with Lauritsen a great striker in their team; he scored 4 goals and 3 assists in their last 6 games. I see both teams score at least 1 goal so for my is the best option to bet on over 2,5 goals here.
