Jong Ajax is all about playing attacking football and promoting young talented players for the first team, they have played two games after the winter break as they defeated Cambuur last round with 3-2 at home while they were defeated with 2-1 away from home at the league leaders Sittard. They are the most entertaining team in the league with 18 of their 21 games played by them this season having 3 goals scored or more.
They were a bit unlucky last Autumn to draw at home against Waalwijk as they had 20 shots in the game, but only managed to score just one goal and had to settle for a 1-1 draw in the end. But in away games Jong Ajax played all 11 games with over 2.5 goals being scored, and 6 of those games also went with over 3.5 goals, and I have no doubt that they will be finding more spaces to score than in the home game they drew against Waalwijk some months ago, and should be scoring 2 or 3 goals here at the very least.
Waalwijk is not having a good season with the team only collecting 21 points so far they are a bit far from the play-off places at this moment but safe from relegation. They need wins and themselves should not be settling for just a point here in this fixture as they are playing at home afterall and in games at home against Jong Ajax over the past 3 seasons there have been a hell lot of goals scored. 3-2, 3-5, 4-4 are the results of Waalwijk at home against Jong Ajax since the youngsters were allowed to play in the second league level.
I am betting on over 3.5 goals mainly because of the attacking style of Jong Ajax who should make this game really open as they are not afraid of conceding a goal or two as long as they outscore their opponents.
