Wolfsberger AC vs LASK    (won)

After an extraordinary week so far, LASK is traveling to Wolfsberg with tremendous confidence. The Linz team actually made the impossible possible against Celtic Glasgow: After a 0-3 loss in the first leg, they fought their way into the group stage of the Champions League with a stunning 5-1 victory in extra time in front of their home crowd. This emotional feat, however, likely took a toll on their energy. Presumably both physically and mentally. Samuel Adeniran is a particular focus. The American is currently in outstanding form and has already scored three braces in five competitive matches of the 2026–27 season. Once the forward scores, he’s only too happy to follow it up with a second goal.

Despite LASK’s impressive run of form, Wolfsberger AC should by no means be underestimated. Although the Carinthians managed only one win in their first four league matches, they are a real force at the Lavanttal Arena. Against Austria Vienna, WAC celebrated a convincing 3-0 victory, and against Salzburg, they fought their way to a 1-1 draw. This means Wolfsberg has been undefeated in front of its home crowd for ten league games.

The Linz team is bringing a lot of quality and momentum to the match, but could very well be vulnerable after their grueling week of European competition. While the odds on “Both Teams to Score” aren’t particularly generous, BTTS is still the most obvious choice for me in this matchup. My gut feeling is clear: Both teams will score.
