Two teams that are both expected to fight in the bottom half, and who have so far done just that with their 4 points from 4 games. I wrote it in a previous analysis, and I repeat it here: Wrexham are probably getting a bit hyped because of their special owners, and many - including the betting market - think the team is better than it actually is.
Let's look at how Wrexham has performed:
2-0 win against Millwall, but with luck - lost xG 1.92-0.79 and shot statistics 21-6.
2-2 against the league's weakest team, Sheffield Wednesday, where they lost xG 1.26-2.25.
2-3 loss against West Bromwich, where they again lost xG.
1-2 loss against Southampton, with xG 2.96-0.96 against.
Terrible numbers - Wrexham gives away far too many chances against all teams.
QPR are not among the best teams in the league either, but they play evenly with most and I see no reason why they should be worse than Wrexham. Historically, about 45% of matches in the Championship end in a home win, and with two even teams the away team has about a 55% chance of taking points.
I give Queens Park Rangers at least a 54% chance of winning or drawing, and the bet is worth taking down to odds of 1.85.
