Euroleague » Game from R5 that was postponed earlier in the season
Both teams are the playoffs contenders.
Zenit Petersburg (14-9 overall & 5-3 at home)
Olimpia Milano (16-8 overall and 6-4 on the road)
Form seems to be way on the side of Italian team who has won 7 of previous 8 in EL plus they have been great in recent Italian Cup where have won the trophy very convincingly. Still, when it comes to great recent EL run, not much road games. Milano was just once away from home in last five and lost it in France from Lyon who is bottom half of the standings.
Zenit had great season but lately they started losing games and have dropped a little bit on the standings. Three straight losses before winning last time away in Serbia against Cz who is fairly to say one of two worst. Game in Serbian capital proved that Zenit is in decline. They were leading but at the end were very lucky to win it in one point game. Plus all that with Cz playing without six guys.
So I am leaning a little bit towards Milano but I like more totals. IMO this could be low score.
The mentioned recent losing streak for Zenit was in meetings with tough opposition, it's fair to point out that. One was exactly Milano. In Italy Zenit was leading most of the game but in 4th Q it was only Italian team and they have closed it with 82:76 score.
Zenit is great defensive side under coach Xavi Pascual. Still this wasn't exactly visible during three games losing streak but now when they have another more defensively oriented opponent like Milano is, it should be low score.
Fact that Milano is the Euroleague leader in the three-point shooting (42.51 percent) is not going in favour of this bet. But have in mind that Zach LeDay who with 50.0 percent is the 5th best in EL is not playing.
I have opted for first half instead of Full Time and that could be risky cause sometimes games in this league starts on fire and the teams only later starts playing more stronger in defense. But I just want to avoid some possible late drama, Over Time maybe and very expected free throw finish cause I see this being very tied game.
