Miami Heat wasn't very active on the trade deadline, but they got what they needed - D-Wade. The veteran who spent 13 years in the Heat jersey and won 3 titles is overjoyed to come back home. Pat Riley has done the deal of the day, bringing back Wade practically for nothing. The veterans played important role from the bench for the Cavaliers, he had least points in his career, but he was very productive in the minutes spent on the ground. Miami plays against Milwaukee tonight and Wade will be ready, he'll start from the bench. If we have in mind that Waiters is injured till the end of the season, Wade's presence will be the key for Miami to catch the playoffs. With Dragic and Whiteside, Miami now has excellent trio in its roster. When we add Richardson, who is one of the most improved players, Miami can even challenge the best teams on the East in the playoffs. It would be unfair to mention Babbitt, who also returned to the Heat. He will also suit up for tonight's match and will play because Olynyk failed to recover on time.
Milwaukee finally got Jabari Parker back in the team. He is not the same player right now, but he'll be better match after match. Milwaukee will be without Brogdon, Dellavedova and Teletovic, 3 important players in the rotation. They are currently 4th on the East, but 7 teams icluding Miami are in the same race. That's why this match is very important, especially for the Heat.
Miami Heat lost their last 5 matches, but Miami against Houston played much better than Miami in the matches before Houston. Maybe the fact that Houston plays no defense was important, but it was visible that the approach was different. When we add the fact that Miami will have D-Wade for tonight's match, we can expect good performance from the whole team. I expect Spoelstra to focus on defense because Miami is basically defensive team.
