Sporting Kansas City will play their first home game for the season, as known they had only away games so far as their new stadium Livestrong Sporting Park wasn't ready yet. Because of this Sporting reside on the last place in MLS (another reason is having played far less games compared with the rest teams) but now should go up. Historic first game on the new ground, big attendance expected and Sporting finally coming home should mark it with a win esepcially knowing their opponent. In the last 2 trips Sporting already started to pick up points getting draws at Colorado and Toronto although the game in Canada was pretty ugly. Both of these games were missed by one of the regular strikers Kei Kamara who was with the NT of Sierra Leone, now back and finally can form a pretty decent offensive line with Omar Bravo who on his turn was injured until recently and the young talented Teal Bunbury. Four players are busy with the Gold Cup - Craig Rocastle (Grenada), Stephen Auvray (Guadeloupe), Roger Espinoza (Honduras) and Shavar Thomas (Jamaica) but most of them are not really important (e.g. Thomas who appeared in only 3 games as a substitute). No problems with injuries and suspensions.
