Puerto Rico Islanders have to climb a mountain after losing the first leg by 0-2 and I don't see why odds are so low as this team is nothing special, it is true they have decent background in the previous years and sound glossy that attracted some bets on them but the reality is Islanders showed very bad performance in El Salvador and generally were horrible on international level in 2011.
Isidro Metapan totally outplayed Islanders in the first game and could win even with a bigger margin than 2-0, missed chances and also the referee didn't gave them 2 penalties, one of them was 1000% obvious. The Salvadorans are not that poor team, last year gave a very hard test to Seattle Sounders at this stage (the preliminary round) and have some experienced players from abroad as the Uruguayan Paolo Suarez (may be interesting to mention that he is the older brother of Luis Suarez) and the new signed Brazilian striker Allan Kardeck who scored the 2nd goal in the reverse game.
As usually Puerto Rico Islanders qualified to the CONCACAF CL through the CFU Club Championship (vastly poor tournament) earlier this year, won it but in quite embarassing way as even using their best players twice needed extra time to eliminate Alpha United (Guyana) on the 1/2 finals and Tempete (Haiti) on the final after draws in 90 minutes. Week ago we saw what kind of joke teams are Alpha United and Tempete.
Besides everything time will work for Isidro Metapan, trailing with 2 goals on the aggregate will make Islanders nervous if they don't score early, taking more risks and the visitors have weapons to punish them on counter attacks.
