Hard to bet on any side in this game but lack of scoring is highly expected. Universitario are famous with their 0-0 draws away (6 in 10 games in the local league, other couple of games ended 0-1) and bringing their tough defense (best in Peru, only 9 goals conceded in 20 rounds) and impotent attack to Venezuela promises nothing different.
Anzoategui started the new season month ago, 6 games played so far and all finished under 2.5 (4 in the local league and the clash with Deportivo Quito), in fact 5 of them were 1-0 wins or losses so they are also perfectly fitting for a low scoring game. Last season Anzoategui didn't have problems to find the net but the departure of one of their topscorers Alejandro Guerra (32 games, 16 goals) probably has an impact although the hosts made a decent new selection.
Both teams with full squads.
First leg, Anzoategui will be careful not to concede, Universitario trying to bring home a promising result.
