Odds start to sink so we must shoot on time. Vasco have as main target winning the Brasileiro title for a first time since 2000, leading after 27 rounds, yesterday missed to extend the 2-point gap to Corinthians with just 2-2 at home and heading to another tough game in the weekend, visit to Internacional. Right in this moment travel to Bolivia and playing on 2,800 meters in Cochabamba is not so exciting option, the group is not yet announced officially but many indices show that more or less Vasco will be resting players. Also, the team changed its first plan and decided to arrive in Cochabamba just hours before the game to reduce the effect of altitude but on the other side the bus journey through the mountain is also a minus.
Aurora are doing great so far in the season, leaders in Bolivia, in the prevous round of Copa Sudamericana eliminating Nacional Asuncion after 5-2 at home. The team is well rested and preparing whole week for this game (had no fixture in the weekend), the fitness of 3-4 players is not certain but they are improving, e.g. on Friday one of the key midfielders Fernando Sanjurjo was counted as surely missing the game with Vasco but today announced as likely to feature.
In this situation Vasco will be OK with whatever result leaving the door open for the 2nd leg (even a minimal loss) as we know that Bolivian teams are very far from threatening away. DNB is also an option.
