Due to the international break Libertad are free to play their postponed game with Rubio Nu and with 3 pts here will get just 1 point behind the leader El Nacional. It is important to take the maximum tongiht against such opponent as after 10 days Libertad enter the duels with Sao Paulo for Copa Sudamericana and will have a quite tough schedule to handle with.
It is true Libertad are missing 4 players busy with the national team - Carlos Bonet, Miguel Samudio, Víctor Cáceres and Robin Ramírez (in Apertura he was topscorer exactly of Rubio Nu) but have enough depth to replace them without any worries. Compared with the last game in defense stepping Ismael Benegas (another ex-player of Rubio Nu, regular in Apertura) and Gustavo Mencia, Omar Pouso in the midfield (vastly experienced, over 300 games on top level in Uruguay and Paraguay) and Pablo Velazquez in attack. Velazquez also played for Rubio Nu in the past (Libertad sent him on loan in 2009 and he scored there 26 goals in 39 games), after stay in San Lorenzo returned to his parent club for Clausura. What I mean is that even those "substitutes" are better than the default material of Rubio Nu.
As mentioned in my previous picks Rubio Nu are not bad but also nothing special in Clausura after most of their basic players left the team in the break (2 of them now in Libertad). They have so-so points tally mainly thanks to the couple of wins over the 2 worst (and practically relegated) teams in Primera - General Caballero and 3 de Febrero.
Libertad won all of their last 4 games with Rubio Nu and same to be expected tonight. Many Euro bookies offer 1.60 - 1.65 for straight win which is OK too (especially if odds for -0.75 fall to ~ 1.70)
