Very good bet in my opinion, derby of the capital Bogota where Millonarios are clearly the bigger and better team and should be favorites, although the game is taking place in the stadium of La Equidad. Both teams started with draws in the first two rounds. Millonarios with a couple of 1-1 (were leading in both games, against Huila and the big city rival Santa Fe), La Equidad with boring 0-0 at home against poor Itagui and 1-1 at Chico (the game was played behind closed doors)
Millonarios (generally one of the most popular Colombian clubs) had some hard seasons but raised a lot in 2011, in both stages reached the playoffs, in Liga Postobon II did great and simply had no luck on the semifinals knocked out by Junior after penalties. They are with completely new attack in 2012 as the previous strikers all left and signed mind-blowing number of new forwards - the Argentinian Matias Urbano (last season 18 goals for Union San Felipe in Chile), Humberto Osorio (15 goals for Inti Gas), Orlando Berrio (Atletico Nacional), Wilberto Cosme (La Equidad), Leonardo Castro (former player of the team returning from Peruvean CNI) and even some more. The attack tonight will be formed by Urbano and Berrio. Yhonny Ramirez (important midfielder signed from Chico) will finally make his official debut after serving a 2-game suspension from the last season. Wilberto Cosme is the only missing against his former club.
La Equidad were terrible in Liga Postobon II, finished 17th. In their last 16 games got just one single win. Many important offensive players left in the break - Javier Araujo, Roberto Polo, Juan Nunez, the mentioned above Wilberto Cosme. The attack will be formed by Paraguayan Mario Gimenez (veteran with deeply sinking career in the last years, last was reserve in Imbabura - team which relegated from Ecuadorean Serie A) and Ervin González (mostly reserve last season). On the top of all Dhawlin Leudo (important attacking midfielder) is suspended. Draw is not impossible but it is very hard to see La Equidad getting the full set of points here.
